CAPPADOCIAN
(HIGHLIGHTS OF TURKEY 7 NIGHTS / 8 DAYS)

Day 1 : ISTANBUL
Arrive in Istanbul. Transfer to hotel. Rest of the day and evening at leisure.

Day 2 : ISTANBUL
In the morning drive to the old town. Visit the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome where chariot races were held in Roman times and Hagia Sophia, Church built by th emperor Justinian in the sixth century. After lunch, tour the Topkapi Palace museum with its priceless jewelled objects and the Porcelain Collection. Shopping at the Grand Bazaar.

Day 3: ISTANBUL - ANKARA
Transfer to airport for a short flight to Ankara. Upon arrival transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit the remarkable Anatolian Civilizations Museum, the Augustus Temple and the Mausoleum of Kemal Ataturk. Overnight in Ankara.

Cappadocia

Day 4: ANKARA - CAPPADOCIA
Morning departure, drive along the Salt Lake to Cappadocia region. Visit the rock carved churches, monastries with a spectacular atmosphere in the valleys of Goreme, Zelve, Avanos, see the settlements at Ortahisar and Uchisar.

Day 5: CAPPADOCIA - IZMIR
Visit the underground city of Kaymakli with nine floors down the earth used by early Christians in the region. After lunch drive to Ankara airport, flight to Izmir. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Izmir.

Day 6: IZMIR
After breakfast begin a full day excursion to Ephesus. Tour the ancient city with its legendary marble streets, the magnificent amphitheatre, Hadrian Temple and Celcus Library. Then visit the Archeological Museum, St. John’s Basilica and the House of Virgin Mary said to be her last residence. Return to Izmir for the night.

Day 7: IZMIR - ISTANBUL
Flight to Istanbul. Rest of the day and evening at leisure.

Day 8: DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport and farewell.
